The creature in the upper right hand corner who is climbing the imaginary lines has made the leap of faith referred to in the title. The other characters are perched on a fanciful version of a sextant, an old style navigational instrument. Along the bottom edge of the sextant is the word Weltanschauung, which means worldview. This wonderfully appropriate word just showed up while I was working on this piece.
